The Personalizable Soap Balls:
All of the personalized soap bars are made by hot process, which basically means that the soap is cooked to speed up the whole process and get the product to you in a timely manner. This causes them to be slightly lumpy. Each individual soap is handmade, hand mixed to your specifications, and hand molded into balls. All bar soaps are made from lye and a special combination of oils, including olive oil, coconut oil, lard, vegetable oil, and castor oil.
The Premade Soap Bars:
All of the premade soap bars are made by cold process, which takes longer to make but produces a finer, smoother soap. They are handmade in batches, scented and colored by hand, and poured into molds of various shapes. All bar soaps are made from lye and a special combination of oils, including olive oil, coconut oil, lard, vegetable oil, and castor oil.
The Lotion Bars:
These smooth and creamy treats are completely handmade from a special combination of sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax. After being mixed, the scents and additives of your choice are added, and the product is poured into a simple mold to set up. People who use lotion bars typically keep one by their sink to rub on their hands after washing them.
The Bath Gel, Lotion, and Refresher Spray:
These items are still too complicated for me to make. So, while your product is mixed and bottled to your specifications here at The Soap Fountain, the base component is made by the fine people at Crafter's Choice.

The Soap Fountain evolved, almost by chance, from a combination of wild imagination and the strange circumstances of life that everyone experiences (in their own strange way, of course). Like most people, I see great retail ideas everywhere. And like most people, I thought I never wanted to work in anything as mundane as retail. After spending four whole years and way too much money in college, I entered the workforce in my chosen field of study. While I thoroughly enjoyed learning about this field, I soon discovered that I did not like working in this field. So, I decided that I would start over, but rather than repeating my mistakes, I decided to work in my new career first and learn the details later. By happy chance, I had picked right. I love retail. I love helping customers and setting up displays and everything else that comes with the retail business.
Now, by this point, I had gathered several business ideas in my wee little brain. One stuck out, though. It had always bothered me that I could never find the bath scents I enjoyed in the colors that I loved. Why is cinnamon scented soap always brown? Also, just when I got hooked on a particular scent, it would become unpopular and disappear from the shelves. That's just wrong! Being from a family full of fair skinned people with sensitive noses, I noticed that some people don't like the average bath products on the market. So, I have spent the past year and a half working and studying and practicing at making soap. I am, also, trying to gradually make a product as planet-friendly as I can with organic items from local growers and suppliers. This is my first business, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my creations!
